The (small, independent, bilingual) school where I work in the EU is looking to offer the IB diploma. At the moment students sit IGCSEs in core subjects, MFLs, history and geography, plus their compulsory secondary education certificate in this country.

Does anyone work in an IB diploma school or have experience of introducing the IB into a school, please? Would love to know your experiences and opinions.

I would say that it seems like a sensible option viewed the context for your school. I work in a large independent school where we offer both A-Levels and IB. IB is still the minority choice for sixth form study and does have a majority of international pupils in each cohort. It's popular with international pupils as more universally recognised. Some pupils struggle as it's intellectually very demanding and in my opinion not all pupils are cut out for it. We do a lot of counselling with pupils to ensure that they are opting for the right sixth form path and I think this is essential. Our results are good but we have to work really hard to achieve them. Not sure if that helps...
