How is school salary calculated

I have been offered a role in a school for £26,080 p.a -actual salary, pay grade 5. Its for 35 hours per week, for 39 weeks (term time only).

Is this the figure that i will be taxed on or i will be taxed on the pro rata for 39 weeks only.

Sorry if i sound confused coz i am so confused. I just need to know if my p.a salary is 26,080 or do i need to pro rata it to 39 weeks?

You’ll be taxed on what you earn which I don’t think will be the £26k you are saying.
I am grade 5. The FTE (full time equivalent) where I am is £27k give or take. . FTE hrs are 36hrs per week for 44 weeks (4 weeks annual leave).
The calculation is:-
(contracted hours divided by FTE hours) x (contracted weeks per year divided by FTE hours per week) x contracted hours per week.

*Should say FTE weeks is 48 weeks.

This has left me more confused.

So (contracted hours divided by FTE hours) x (39 weeks / 52 weeks) x 35 hours

I am working full time daily which is 7 hours excluding lunch hour.

You need to know how many days holiday pay you will get and what the full time hours are for the post (probably 35 hours). In my LA we pay 6.4 weeks holiday for new staff plus 39 weeks term time work. Total 45.4 weeks.
So 35/35 x 45.4/52 gives an FTE of 0.87. Multiply that by your salary = £22689 for the year.
But it's perfectly acceptable to ask HR/ the recruiting manager to explain exactly how your salary will be calculated and what you might expect to earn.
I do a lot of recruiting of school support staff and am sure to explain how the salary works when offering people jobs.

So you are full time hours but not full time in weeks - you don’t need the first part of the equation. In my LA the equation given includes “holiday” pay.
