Please consider completing this questionnaire if you are currently a teacher. Today it will help me with an assignment in on of my classes in my MEd. I will post the anonymized results for everyone later though, including my summary of common themes. Thanks for considering answering these questions for me!

Sorry, too long, too many qs

Sorry, can't be bothered to do it all just now but the thing that stops a lot of teachers using technology is because when it comes to it, it fails and you've got 30 kids frustrated their tablet won't work. The questionnaires always assume we're technophobes who don't feel confident with computers. The internet at my school constantly drops off and none of our IT support have ever been able to fix it, so often we just give up on a lesson without even getting online. In other schools the tablets/laptops/chromebooks are too slow.

@Moonsoup I appreciate that standpoint. What I needed from the survey was to see what tech people use, and the opinions people have. I actually was hoping people would bite on the questions about harm caused by technology. So far, from my results, I believe people's general ideas of technology are far too utopian in nature. Amazing tech is at best a Band-Aid for poor pedagogy. As a former public school teacher and current MEd student specializing in educational technology, I am much more of a techno-skeptic and luddite than many of my peers. I am a Jaques Ellul fan, and I would prefer much less dependence on technology. My approach is actually one of minimizing detrimental outcomes of technology abuse. I do think we need to teach students how to use the tech they will be using in the best way possible. There is research showing that students emulate teacher use of technology, even outside of the classroom. My hope is that teachers are actually more critical of technology prior to using it in instruction, and they only use it if the benefits outweigh the costs and positively transform aspects of the teaching/learning experience. I wish people today were more reliant on technology like the printing press than TikTok. There is a tension between the need to teach students how to abstractly critique and learn technology (since what is popular today may be the Myspace of tomorrow) and the need to remain human and value traditional analog experiences.

@JaffavsCookie I understand. I don't generally have enough disposable time to devote to such surveys. I appreciate your viewing and considering it. Have a great day!
