Parents looking at children’s workbooks

Please reassure me.
This evening, I agreed to let a parent bring her child’s books home because she didn’t have time to look at them after our meeting.
This parent is known for being quite picky and I’m now at home worrying that she’ll pick my marking to bits, or critique the work I’ve set/ find something to complain about. I hope not.
Has anyone else had this experience?
Thank you.

Why did you let her take them home? I would not have agreed to this...if she couldn't spare 5 minutes to sit outside your room and flick through, then I would have told her that she would need to wait until the books got sent home.

No chance I'd risk sending current books home with a parent 🤦‍♀️

(We had parents evenings this week too, and my parents flicked through books half heartedly, making the requisite 'oh lovely darling' noises to their children...whilst not really being at all interested 🤣)

When we had a previous HT, she used to send home a letter saying that "Books will be sent home for inspection the day before parents' evening. Apart from being an awful phrase to use - we had visions of parents peering at books with a magnifying glass to spot any teacher errors - it was an absolute nightmare to get the books returned.
