Pixl schools

Hello all, I’ve been invited to an interview at a primary school that uses the Pixl programme. I’ve been asked to do a 30 minute lesson on inference for emerging year 3s using a pre-made pixl PowerPoint. Any thoughts on how much original input is required here?! Would I need a lesson plan, own activities? The presentation is v thorough - it’s all a bit weird…

I work in a school that uses PIXL. I find some of the resources good, some dire and v dull and some insanely over ambitious. Personally I would use the resource as a staring point and add or adapt it. Have you been given any steer on the kids? Can you create a short independent or paired task that could follow the teaching element?

I would imagine they want to see what all the candidates do from the same starting point so you need to put your stamp on it.
