Just that really! I'd really appreciate it if someone could lay out what I need to do/obtain step by step in order to become a primary school teacher. Thank you so much in advance.

I don't have a degree so I know I need to study but what next?

Get a degree in a relevant subject.
Do a PGCE.

Or

Get a degree in education with QTS

This website is helpful: getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/steps-to-become-a-teacher

Also to do primary you need GCSE grade C or above in English, Maths and Science (some people aren't aware of the science requirement).

First thing you need is a degree. Teaching is still a degree level occupation so that's pretty much a non negotiable unless you go down the unqualified teacher (aka dogsbody) route.
You can either get a degree in pretty much any national curriculum subject and follow this up with a PGCE or get a B. ED degree with QTS, it depends on whichever is your preference. There are lots of other routes too, School direct( school based training) can sometimes be paid, generally not. There is also a teaching apprentice programme but I know nothing about that!

Degree in a subject or something useful for the classroom. PGCE you’ll have placements with this and you’ll be sent to schools to train. Then you’ll gain QTS and you’ll go do a two year ECT to qualify

OR

There’s teach first. But idk that route I hear it’s complex and you can end up with a tough school as I think that’s whT the focus is usually on with teach first.

I strongly suggest you go and look at some schools first. Don’t do this on a whim. People told me that and I honestly couldn’t agree with their advice more. You need it. Good luck.

There’s teach first.

You still need to have a (high) degree for this, you are parachuted into a ‘difficult’ school to train on the job in tough-to-recruit subjects.

If you do Teach First you'll be able to get a job at the DfE within a year though. Or maybe write a book after a few months telling everyone else how to do it.

Probably write the book before starting the course!
