Anyone 28weeks plus still in school?

Just that really... the guidance is really unclear about wether pregnant women over 28 weeks are expected to remain at work.
I’m almost 30weeks and haven’t had a 3rd trimester risk assessment.

I’m getting really annoyed because work are not supporting me as such. I need a new chair as my one is not suitable at all, I have several appointments on the same day which isn’t my fault just the way it falls and are expected to go back and forth to work despite only being back on site for an hour or 2 before leaving.. and I have SPD so walking is difficult... and not helping with the above. My job can be done from home as not teaching staff. During covid I worked at home but have been told it’s a no go at the moment.

Any advice?

Ask for a meeting and ask your union rep to attend and support you to work from home

That sounds awful for you! I'm 25 weeks and I'm teaching staff. I struggled to get a risk assessment initially but had one done a couple of weeks ago and the lady who did it was really good and up-to-date with the guidance. She basically said to me if I want to work from home from 28 weeks then that's absolutely fine and they will accommodate it. Granted there is no social distancing at the minute, despite it being a part of my assessment, but it's physically impossible in a busy secondary school!

I'm going to wait and see what happens with the case rates in my school (they seem to be gradually rising). At this point in time I can foresee me holding out until the summer holidays but fortunately I am allowed to go home when I have frees so I've been making the most of that for an early finish after lunch when I'm free.

I'd definitely be getting onto your union if the school aren't willing to make it safe for you or adhere to a risk assessment! How would you feel if something happened to you or your baby and it could've been avoided? It's not worth the risk. The guidance is really clear, if you can't social distance and can't be in an office whereby contact is massively minimised and is Covid secure then you need to be suspended or work from home.

We have a teacher who will be around the same due date as you. She is currently working from home and went just before half term.
Definitely query it!
