Is this suitable interview attire?

Okay so my outfit planned is:

-high waisted black trousers - these are narrow fit around the ankle almost like slim fit trousers. Not sure if that might not be formal?

  • a blue blouse from zara with white print. Kinda like leopard print?
  • then a blazer
  • shoes: loafers

I’m also contemplating removing my nail varnish too. They’re french manicure with purple tips. I reckon I’ll take it off and have no polish.

What do you guys think? Too informal do I go all black?

It depends on the job I suppose but it sounds fine to me.

I would steer clear of anything that looks like leopard print. But then I'm frumpy and middle aged, anyway Grin, so what do I know?

We had a trainee recently who wore a very skimpy camisole on a hot day (yes, there was one) and genuinely hadn't thought anything of it. It was gently pointed out to her that this wasn't professional attire, and she turned up the next day looking like one of the von Trapp children after Fraulein Maria had been at the curtains.

On my first day of placement one of the other trainees turned up looking very smart, until she sat down, her skirt rode up, and her stocking tops and suspenders were revealed.
She wore trousers every day after the professional mentor had a word.

You don't need to go all black, but it is worth being aware that unless the school is unusually informal people won't form a bad impression by being slightly more (small c) conservative in dress.

The overall style sounds good to me, but I would have neutral nails and avoid leopard print in favour of a different colour blouse.
