Career change - PE Teaching

I'm looking at a return to work/career change now that my son is starting primary in September. I have never done any teaching and all I read about on Mumsnet is how horrible it is as a career!
I have been considering retraining as a fitness coach/gym instructor but being self employed doesn't appeal to me right now as I recently started and failed in a business venture. It also seems pretty horribly paid if you go the employed route.
It occurred to me today that teaching PE would require a lot of the same attributes that appeal to me about adult fitness classes. Are PE teachers under the same pressures as other subject teachers? Is anyone on here a PE teacher. What are the pros and cons? What's it like as a profession? I think I'd prefer secondary over primary but only started thinking about it today so I'm open.
I have an undergraduate degree and a post graduate degree but in completely unrelated field so I know I'll have to retrain. I've always been into sports and exercise. I'm 38 and I'm desperate to find a career that I enjoy. I'm not originally from this country so I don't have any experience primary and secondary education here which may or may not be relevant.

Not a PE teacher.

Go and spend some time in school.

PE teachers have to teach to GCSE, same as anyone else, so you still have exam pressures.

There will also be an expectation of lunchtime activities, and after school coaching, taking kids to matches etc.

I don’t believe that there is a shortage of PE teachers which means getting a job may prove harder than in some subjects.
