Making a good impression at school tour?

Hi, I'm applying for teaching roles and have an appointment to tour a school. I'm in primary so the head will show me round. What's your best advice for making a good impression? I know it's not an official interview but I'm sure they'll be sizing me up!

I plan on asking about the subjects I'm most interested in and generally being very smiley and enthusiastic. Any other tips?

The best advice I can give you is- just be yourself and don’t ask questions for the sake of it.
Remember you are also there to check the school and staff out. I once went to visit a school and I was completely put off by staff member showing me around . In the end I didn’t even bother applying.

Go with an open mind and good luck!

Smile and be friendly to everyone - I didn't realise at the time but the person whose office I was waiting in was one of those who decided to hire me or not...good job we got on!

Just be smiley, friendly, positive, interested. They’ll definitely be sizing you up!
