Hi, I just wondered if anyone had any ideas to make my daily Google meets eith my class a bit more fun.
We've done a scavenger hunt and I read a story every day but would like to change it up a bit.
I have year 1 so nothing too tricky! Thanks

Model something you’re doing in maths that day eg using egg box 10 frames to explore different ways to make 16, then challenge them to send you photos or pictures of different ways of making 13. If they’ve never done it before you might need to start with single digit numbers. Can they use 3 numbers to make 13? Or 4? How do they know they’ve found all the ways. Encourage them to work systematically. Etc

My class love bingo. You can get an online spinner. Numbers up to 25.
We did a guess the animal quiz from close up pictures.
We've also done show and tell. We met a lot of pets.

Bingo is popular. Divide piece of paper in 9 squares, ask children to write in eg numbers in 3 times table. Then you choose the question randomly eg 3×3 , child works it out and marks off 9 if they've got 9 and so on.
