Any other teachers just exhausted already?

Particularly nomadic/'homeless' secondary teachers having to carry a classroom's worth of resources from one bubble to the next?

No base, no desk, staff rooms too small to fit more than 4 people in now.

I haven't felt like this in years. It was bearable up till half term. But I'm rapidly approaching burnout.

Just me?

If your place is anything like mine, the bubble system means kid rule the roost and the behaviour systems are at breaking point

Yeah, behaviour isn’t great. The year 11s are convinced the exams will be cancelled. So they can’t be arsed.

I can’t talk about year 9 without going off on a bit of a rant about them all. There are some truly lovely kids but there’s a high number of really troublesome ones. They are making life a living hell for a lot of the teachers. The poor head of year.

POP

One of my students tested positive today. And I sent another to the nurse for coughing.

They've only sent close contacts to isolate so we're all now questioning the point of these bubbles anyway. 🙄

Bubbles are a total myth now. I had two positive year 10s in 2 days in one class, still only sent home close contacts.

Definitely end of term tired here. No motivation left.
