Hi,
I currently work 0.4 but have been asked if I want an extra day. I was wondering if anyone working the same hours on mps6 could tell me what their take home pay and pension contributions are each month please.
I’ve rung my academy’s payroll dept to ask but they weren’t able to model it as this year (due to maternity leave) I’m way under the tax threshold. I want to calculate if it’s worth my while after childcare costs!
Tia!

About 1400 I think depending on tax code.

I’m on that but with inner London weighting - it is about £1560.

Beakyok · 13/11/2020 19:25

That’s interesting. Thank you - I’ll have a look at how much extra the London weighting is and calculate from that.

There is a great salary calculator on the Martin Lewis money saving website that calculated mine exactly. You just need to know what annual salary is and then check teacher pension to see what %contributions are it calculates it for you.

cherrypiepie · 15/11/2020 22:25

I just calculated on the mse and it came out at £1442 based on the pay rise for 2020-2021 with 7.4 pension contribution %

Oh wow - thank you Cherrypiepie!
