Realistically, what is the take home pay for a full time TA at your school? I am contemplating a job as one as a way in to a school I would love to teach at eventually but salary hasn’t come up yet. I know it’ll be a huge pay drop but would like some ball park of what is reasonable.

Just seen your update. Well done, that’s amazing for 3 days. Smile

I get £690 per month for 3 full days a week as a TA. Very low wage but I love it and would rather sacrifice financially than wake up every morning dreading going to work.

I get 650 a month for 15 hours a week (9-12).

Oh, and I’m in the Midlands.

I'm a TA 2 in York and get just under £1,000 a month. While it's 8.30 to 3.30 each day, we're actually only paid for the time we're in lessons, so not for breaks or lunchtimes. So in fact it's a 27.5hr week.

I am leaving!
