New job when pregnant. Bad form?

Currently on supply and 13 weeks pregnant with DC3. A FT permanent position has become available in a nearby school (secondary) that I want to go for. They want an ASAP start. I am due in April so, all being well, would start Mat Leave in the Easter holidays. I would plan to return in September as planning for DH to take over and stay at home for a while. But is this bad form? I feel like it is. But then I think it's a strange time now with Covid and kids will potentially be used to different teachers and I'd only be out for one term. I just can't decide what's best. Am I kidding myself that if I even got the job that my card wouldn't be marked as going off so soon and them having to sort cover etc. What is the general consensus? Has anyone experienced this in their school/department? Did it go well?!

Sometimes the right job comes up at a time that isn't ideal.
I got a job wen pregnant with dc3.
I knew it had gone well, and I felt fairly confident I was going to be offered it, so, at the end of the interview (in the any questions bit) I told them I was pregnant, and that I wouldn't be able to start in September as they hoped, but that I hoped, if I were the right candidate, they would be able to look at the next 6 or 7 years, and understand it was just going to start from after Christmas, rather than from September.
I was appointed. I think they appreciated my honesty. The teacher that was retiring agreed to come back and do some supply PT for the term to keep things ticking over, and they got the best person for the job.
Of course, if they are inundated with applicants and get it down to 2 or 3 people with equal skills, experience, and competency, then they might pick one of the others. But you never know, and it is still worth going for it. After all, they could appoint another candidate and they could leave or be off sick or something next year

Thank you for your reply and that's great that it worked out for you. Great advice of what to say. Hoping for a similar outcome!
