I am trying to get my head round planning.
An a NQT My training didn't cover early years planning, so the continuous provision side of things weren't really looked at.

How on earth do I cover all the year 1 expectations through continuous provision?
The school MTP is complete and we are to adapt it for CP. I have been allocated Music, DT, Geography and Maths (there are 3 of us splitting the planning changing it up each half term)

Ask a colleague to share the planning they have already done with you. Or ask them to talk through their planning process and how they organise their day. So much depends on the resources and the space you have. I taught year 1 for a number of years and am a primary maths specialist but there are so many different ways of approaching year 1 that my experience is likely to be utterly irrelevant to your context. Good luck!

You may get more luck on the tes forums.

Hiya, we normally do CP in Year 1 for the first half term. However this year we are continuing the EYFS curriculum for autumn 1 but adding in some Y1 objectives where appropriate/ possible. There’s a lot of overlap.

I know you are an NQT, but do you have other KS1 staff who are trained in the EYFS curriculum?
