Does anyone know if TAs or HLTAs are entitled to the pay rise announced today?

Support staff pay year goes April to April. Teachers' is Sept to Sept.

Teachers only so far.

Emergency finance meeting on Thursday as we had only factored in 2.5% pay rise in our calculations. This will mean more redundancies I expect... unless the trust decides not to give the full amount... which they can .....

Support staff pay rise has still not been finalised though its expected the 2.75% on the table will be accepted. It will be backdated to April once it is implemented

Thanks everyone.

My cousin is a TA and she is getting 2.75%. Don’t know if I’ll get anything as I’m support staff but not a TA.

I hope I get something as support staff. I feel jealous otherwise!

To be honest I’m glad that Ive still got my job (albeit with reduced hours). Not everyone at my school has been so lucky..... budget is stretched VERY thin and pay rises will actually mean more redundancies in my school.

It’s all very well the government giving the pay rises but where was the announcement that they are giving schools more money to cover them?

ChickenNugget86 · 23/07/2020 00:03

Can see many TA's being made redundant with teachers getting a pay rise.

Pay rise would be fab but think this might be the priority!

'Schools need to give support staff the recognition they deserve for the integral role they play within a school, often in roles that teachers don’t possess the skillset or experience for, and more respect in the process.'
