I really need to improve my handwriting over the summer. It's quite shocking. Any useful books I could use to practise cursive writing? Or at least a style that is legible Wink
Thank you

I break my words up into print rather than cursive- sometimes it is a specific letter/letter combination that causes trouble. ALL CAPS is an option, if it's really bad! You will improve with time - kids will definitely let you know if/when it's an issue!

My handwriting has gone to pot with an eleven-week term of online marking. I was taught Marion Richardson script as a child. Now I think of it, my handwriting is still a version of it.

These templates might help:

If you teach older children (secondary) you might find, as I have, increased resistance to reading handwritten comments, even to the extent of saying can you read this for me before they've even tried to read it. They are unused to a variety of handwriting so many don't make the effort. Yet I am meant to make sense of their frequently appalling scribble. Hmm

That's great thank you! I'm going to be in y5 so definitely something I need to work on over the summer!
