You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff. Baiters and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

You can play here only if you are a member of one the following groups-

-ABBA - anti bashers and baiting association
-SWAB - school workers against bashers
-SWOT - school workers opposing teacherbashers
-STARS - schoolworkers together against ranting + slurs

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the toffee vodka is hidden.

If you are fed up with cakes and biscuits there is now a cheeseboard on offer

If you come with a stick to beat us with then please do so elsewhere and not in the staffroom.

All children back in September?

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:10

Stop Lying, Gavin. You are not 'working with the sector'.

ineedaholidaynow · 19/06/2020 17:10

What clear plan?

namechangedyetagain · 19/06/2020 17:12

Lovely. Now where is the plan?

Cantaloupeisland · 19/06/2020 17:12

Clear plan= throw a bit of money at schools and leave them to work out what to do with it and deal with the ensuing fallout

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:13

Second Q there basically showing people want the shielded forced back to work!!

He really can't answer Qs , can he??

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:14

He makes me feel so anxious when he talks. None of the other cabinet ministers on show (except perhaps Priti) has that effect : they seem so much more knowledgeable and calm.

He is so over promoted.

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:15

How can the bubbles be an entire class at secondary : explain!!!!

starrynight19 · 19/06/2020 17:15

So that’s the great plan a bubble of the whole class. Wow Shock

RigaBalsam · 19/06/2020 17:16

Big bubbles of 30 then. Can't wait to see how this will work in secondary.

ineedaholidaynow · 19/06/2020 17:16

Most of the schools I know haven't been able to get 15 into a class with social distancing, usually about 7 - 8

Cantaloupeisland · 19/06/2020 17:16

Bubbles to include the whole class - so no distancing at all then!

ineedaholidaynow · 19/06/2020 17:17

Quite a few of our classes are bigger than 30

ineedaholidaynow · 19/06/2020 17:18

My DS's school breaks up at the beginning of July, might not get the guidance in time

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:18

That's OK : that's a bubble.

I reckon in secondaries , bubbles will be 1600 people.

lurch3r · 19/06/2020 17:18

Yay, further guidance in the next 2 weeks. We are doing a great job with bubbles of 15 socially distancing so all we need to do is expand the bubbles to include the whole class of 30. In the same rooms. Simples. Can't see a problem with that. 🤔

ineedaholidaynow · 19/06/2020 17:19

@Piggywaspushed Grin

TheHoneyBadger · 19/06/2020 17:20

"I'm sorry you're confused" We're all confused gav because you're talking shit.

RigaBalsam · 19/06/2020 17:21

Shut up Sam with zoom lessons being the gold standard.

TheHoneyBadger · 19/06/2020 17:21

They set up Oak? Really?

Saucery · 19/06/2020 17:21

Oh god, answer the fucking question! 🤦‍♀️

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:21

Oh fuck off with your Zoom.

Piggywaspushed · 19/06/2020 17:22

No, you did Not Set Up Oak.

starrynight19 · 19/06/2020 17:22

No distancing at all in classes of 30 or more. They will just say we don’t mix with other classes / ear dinner in class / don’t mix at playtimes and wash our hands unbelievable.
As for secondary it’s basically back to normal and wash your hands I guess.
What’s the point Angry

TheHoneyBadger · 19/06/2020 17:23

A long term project - how about supporting ALL kids from 4-18 to have a decent education by funding the education sector properly? How can anyone listen to this shit and swallow any of it?
