Long time poster but name changed for this a feel like a trouble maker!
I teach in a small primary school, we are open with two bubbles. Next week we go to three bubbles but are making these by splitting current bubbles and adding children. Next week I know there will be a few more added.
Surely this defeats the point of bubbles? I've brought it up but been told it's the only way!

I'm in the same position. We've had one lot of bubbles this week and next week some of the children are going into a new bubble. In my opinion, it's poor planning from management. The guidance states to plan as if all your available spaces are taken and work your bubbles out from there. We haven't done this but if you say anything you are just being 'negative'.

I'm glad it's not just me! It does just seem crazy and pointless as at this rate the bubbles will split every week. I may try bring it up again next week but seems I'm the only one bothered.

That's crazy, we currently have empty bubbles ready to take in more children as they come.

We also have new bubbles next week and then extra bubbles the week after with new children, but staff moving from existing bubbles.

That's not right. We are adding new bubbles with new teachers as we go but not altering the original bubbles.

It really is not right that school staff are not given clear working conditions agreed to by staff. We have undergone so many changes to our role and are expected to just go with the flow without question but where's the accountability.

It's also crap that we are made to feel like troublemakers and drama queens for questioning policies. It's very easy for people to sit in offices and decide how it should be for us working in classrooms.

I would email your concerns and contact your union. It's hard to advocate for yourself but if you don't who will?

Thanks all, I'm glad people don't think I'm being unreasonable. I will bring it up again tomorrow and might contact union as I really was working myself up about it earlier and don't want to be thinking about it when I should be enjoying family time.
