As per the title really, school is mooting that we move to a more interactive live lesson format and was wondering if anyone else is successfully using one?

I've tried oneclassnote but the collaboration zone lags really badly and I can't see who wrote what comment so it has the potential for them to be rude/inappropriate. There's also no 'live' element as far as I can see, so it doesn't really achieve anything that I can't send in an email.

I've looked at one that was code based entry for the students which obviously has anonymity problems.

We've been using teams for staff meetings - but can't see an option to turn everyone's microphone/camera off so can't see how it's going to work safeguarding wise.

Any suggestions?

Try Skype for video calls (if you set it up as a meeting, students join with microphones off automatically), and use google classroom if you need to upload work etc.
Microsoft teams also works as you just need to tell the students to join with their audio and camera off.

We use google classroom and zoom.

Zoom works best, just make sure you are familiar with all the safety features.
