Looks sensible. A rank order required within grades so that the can moderate up or down as required.

Yep... Slightly annoying however very small sample size last year and slighty bigger this year. Got evidence so hoping for the best.

What about GCSE maths and English retakes?

I can't find anything about them. For some students wanting their 4, this is important, will they just get them now?

I’m interested to know how the ranking will affect students in subjects where there are tiers of entry. My top foundation maths class will have strong 5’s in them but a 5 is the highest available grade on the foundation paper. If for some reason the department is too severe in our predictions generally (though really I can’t imagine that happening in any school/subject) will my first ranked pupil move up to a 6? A grade not available on the foundation tier.

@fossie I think they will norm reference by tier. They surely can't put students up....
