Also saw a different pupil whilst queueing for a slide in a water park. Tried to hide behind my inflatable ring !

DH is a teacher. The student midwife that came to our house for my post-birth check and gave us advice about contraception and waiting until stitches had healed before having sex was his former student/pupil. I'm not sure whether she or DH was more embarrassed!

I live in catchment for my school. All the post-16 students seem to work in the supermarket. I have to shop elsewhere for any and all personal goodies...

I took my two DC swimming at a pool 8 miles away. To find that DS1s class teacher (Y4) was also in the pool with his wife and their baby. I was wearing a bikini Blush
The staff at their school go on their end of year drink at a local pub and have ended up drinking with other parents before now.
I see one of the TAs from their school all the time. She and I always seem to end up next to each other on the Lidl self checkouts.

Never bumped into any of my students as I live 25 miles from my school. Lots of my colleagues have though.

I had to get the morning after pill a few years ago. When I got to the front of the pharmacy queue I realised one of my students was within hearing range, so I bought some hay-fever medicine and left. Ten minutes later, tried again, another student. I bought vitamins that time. Third time lucky. The pharmacist must have thought I was stark raving mad.

I went to buy sanitary towels in a "I need a sanitary towel right now" situation. The supermarket sold only MEGA packs. And there was some sort of 3 for 2 offer. I was carrying a lot of bags and then also trying to balance the 3 mega packs of sanitary towels (I never get a basket and always do the under the chin balance thing - and drop stuff).

Saw a very very sweet student with her entire extended family, I'm talking grandparents, aunts, cousins, the lot, who were somehow on a nice evening out at the mini supermarket. And she insisted on introducing me to all of them, I live in Spain so the custom is a kiss on both cheeks, I had to do this to about 15 relatives and make some polite conversation while wondering whether my period had gone through my clothes yet and trying to balance about 150 sanitary towels on the outside of my left arm. Apparently none of her family noticed my desperation to get away or thought I was acting bizarrely, the student commented to me the next day at school how they had all said I was very nice, and her mum even gave me a lift to work one day after that when I'd been to a doctor's appointment and was walking to catch the bus during the morning.
