Thank gifts for Nursery staff?

Hi, my DD will be finishing nursery in July & starting Primary at a different school.

A friend asked me what I planned on getting each of the nursery staff as thank you gifts - tbh I hadn't even thought about it yet as it's a few months away & we have a lot on in between.

I do want to do something - as DD has been there since she was 2, so 3 years with some of the staff as she'll be 5 in September.

I'll get her to make thank you cards, but honestly, what thank you gifts are actually liked/appreciated? Would chocolate be ok?

Is your friend a teacher?! Confused

How bizarre

How about some posh biscuits for them to share, and a couple of new books for the nursery?

How many people are we talking about? I get the teachers fancy dips/dressings that come in nice bottles (like fig and chilli) but they’re £6.50 each and that can add up.

We always get vouchers - they get tons of chocolate/biscuits, more than they can eat, so we get a gift voucher for each of their room staff with a higher value for their key worker.

I bought plain terracotta plant pots and let ds (2 at the time) at them with paint and then varnished them and bought some cheap but nice plants to go in them.

It really is just a token in my view, the card should mean far more than the gift so get dd to make an effort with making a nice one, include a few personal lines of your own and then (if you wish) add a little box of chocs or nice biscuits.

When my children left their nursery I gave them gardening vouchers (the nursery had an allotment which the children helped in). Is there anything like this?

At ours the parents of the leavers had a collection, whatever you wanted to put in and we got them a voucher for a local restaurant.

Thank for all the replies - food for thought.

For those who got vouchers, for/from where?
