That's it, I'm leaving! After 11 years, I am actually leaving teaching! I can't believe it! I've wanted to go for years but keep being sucked back because of the money. I've managed to find myself a role that is only a £5,000 pay cut though, which is brilliant considering it's a new field. The new role is closely related to education, but without all the shite that is SLT, parents, top down directives, marking and all the other balls (notice I've not said the kids, bless them). I start after Easter.
I'm so excited but I have this nervous, churning stomach feeling too! All my profession life, I have been a teacher.
'What do you do?'
'Oh, I'm a teacher'
Well, no more!
Shit!!!!!!!
