Childhood Practise Degree

Is this a worth while degree to get? Does anyone have it and has it done them any use in their career?

I'm looking at a one year full time course at college doing this at HNC level then distance learning through a university at home part time along side a part time job as a TA or in a nursery.

Have I posted this in the wrong place?

I love education, so a degree is never wasted if it is something you want to learn about.
It would potentially give you the option to do a PGCE afterwards and train as a teacher if that is what you wanted to do.
If you want to be a TA, the most important thing is experience. A school will not employ someone with a degree without practical experience. I think many people would start the degree whilst working in a school setting, not as a means to get the job.
That said, I did an OU degree then a PGCE. I volunteered in school for a year but didn't work as a TA.
