Name changes... I’m just wondering if you’d be happy to share how many non-contacts teachers and heads of department/faculty get at your school? I think I’m on a lot less than local peers.
Thank you!

They change in private, believe me. It’s all about giving each student a personalised education. It’s not a case of take-it-or-leave-it.

I have had to reconstruct option blocks on GCSE results day and generate a whole new timetable.

It’s hard to change a timetable when part-timers’ hours are locked in, so rejigging a department can be tough. It would be unevenly unusual to split a class between two teachers (and definitely not three), as you often see in state schools. The key thing is to do what’s best for the students. If that means a new Teacher is a couple of lessons over, then so be it. Most would just suck it up, tbh, and wait for karma to be repaid.

Secondary . Teach 35 lessons per fortnight. 7 Meetings per fortnight. 4 PPAs and 4 non contact lessons per fortnight (which I do cover for colleague's at least once, sometimes twice a week). Am a head of two year groups.
