Inspired by previous threads. Are there any teachers or ex teachers out there who think MN should stop the Staffroom from appearing in active thread? Positive and negative responses please.

When we get some responses we can I/we can report the thread to MN and ask them to look into it.

I think in top 200 there are three ATM - there is one on supporting a child with down's as well

Personally I agree Winnnie in my own field I find that a wide range of perspectives are useful.

So I looked at that SEN in secondary thread (14 posts) and the one about autism and picking battles (7 posts) and there's a dearth of parents coming into help teachers with expert advice. The most popular thread on the Staffroom front page (226 posts) is the one about spending more time with other people's kids where a bunch of non-teachers piled in to be annoying.

Grin Yup, but then all the contributors were experts in that field.

I think I managed to be annoying on that thread too. But I am a teacher. So I am staying.

It's happening again now on a very obviously light hearted staffroom thread. The usual posse has descended .
