To retrain or not

I am thinking about retraining to teach. I would be a secondary school History teacher. I am wondering what hours I can expect to work? I am also disabled with a chronic disability and quite a lot of pain most days, so I would be interested to hear from people with any disability that teach successfully.
Thanks

I had to stop teaching due to ME/cfs. I think it directly contributed.

It didn't come across badly cat and I agree. I don't think either that that is restricted to teaching. I think the workload and potential behaviour of children can contribute to the toughness, though. If all the children sat beautifully, dutifully imbibing knowledge what a wondrous thing teaching would be!

I quite like marking as it goes !

I quite like marking too piggy!

OP, if you want a shred of hope, I’ve been working in schools for the past 4 years. I know EXACTLY what teaching entails and how teachers are treated. Yet alongside my job I’m studying for a degree and afterwards I’m going to do teacher training. And I still want to do that. I must be mad! But even with all of the flaws within teaching it is still all I’ve ever wanted to do
