Strange question Facebook related

I'm. It on Facebook as yet but thinking about joining. As teachers, do you use first name surname, or do you use a middle name or initial? I'm secondary if that makes any difference- I think it probably does. And the privacy setting s-what's best to have them set at in this profession?

I use my own name and have good privacy settings.

As I live and work in a small town, I have friends who are parents and colleagues. Everybody knows everybody's business before it would get onto FB anyway!

As long as you don't post anything of a dodgy nature, we are allowed to have a normal life outwith the classroom.

All profile pictures are no longer private so even if everything if everything is as private as it can be anyone who searches for you can see you're profile pictures, this is why lots of staff in my school change their name so they can't get access to any photos of you at all
