We're using this scheme and it's great... but I can't do it. It takes so long to create weekly plans from the overview that I can't do it anymore.

Are there any weekly plans already out there? I figure it must be easier to work from ready made planning and adapt it to the class I'm teaching than work from the overview every week!

It takes me hours to plan maths every week! It's ridiculous. I'm in year 3, but I know others in the school are struggling as well.

Hi just came across this thread as I'm starting a new job in y1 in January and would be really great full if anyone would be happy to share an example of their planning. So much to get my head around!

As it's all relatively new with the mastery / Singapore approach to Maths, there are only 2 approved textbooks in England for this. They are great! MathsNoProblem and Inspire, but usually it's something the whole school needs to follow rather than buying the books yourself.

Most other textbooks out there lack the mastery element (problem solving and reasoning), which I feel most teachers are frustrated with at the minute.

Since September, White Rose have improved their schemes of work, so the small steps are even easier to follow.

I do actually sell resources for this for every objective, but if you preview my resource you can get ideas for yourself if you don't want to purchase anything. I also do minor freebies if you fancy following. Please see here: www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/Thedigitalstationer

Just to mention there is a 90% off code (JANUARY90) for any resources up to £10. Wink

Any questions about anything feel free to ask and I'll try my best!

That looks really good @Katrina99 - the other one on tes I've found that is really good is xkarenx her smart notebooks are great really good quality and no mistakes (unlike White Rose which has loads of mistakes)

That's great! And thank you very much.

There is free stuff out there but you've got to be careful with regards to quality. Having said that, same applies for the paid stuff!

In the near future, I will be creating free weekly resources that match the White rose scheme to promote mastery, so feel free to follow guys x
