Mistoffelees
I spend an hour Evey morning before school writing daily plans for my TAs so st any given point during the school day, they know exactly where they're supposed to be, who they're supposed to be working with and what they're supposed to be doing.
They really wouldn't like not having these plans I don't do anything in the holidays though.
Maybe useful?

Bumble maybe I've read it wrong but it sounds like the children are expected just to sit on the carpet for this time so calzone wouldn't be able to support them in play.
I will be doing daily plans for my TA, just going to come up with some sort of format that I can fill in each time over the holiday. Have plenty more work to do as well mind!

I appreciate what you say but she doesn't pick up on how I feel as I'm super supportive, have come up with lots of ideas and do loads of things for her.

I am critical because I know what it should be like and as she does nothing at home, has no planning for me and the phonics plan is incomplete, I just have to accept she doesn't care anymore.

Heaven help us if Ofsted come in......

Sounds like she needs some support. Also sounds like the management either don't understand early years or are coasting as much as she is.

As a parent I'm shocked. That's awful. When was the last time your school had an ofsted?

calzone · 25/10/2016 13:47

I agree Bumble.......I want to support her. The class are fabulous but fed up of being on the carpet for so long!

Ofsted are definitely due.

Parents would be shocked. It's abysmal. 😨😨

At the end of the day it's her neck on the block if OFSTED decide to take issue with the way she operates and it's also the SLT's necks why they don't seem to be keeping abreast of what's going on within the school is a mystery but one that you don't need to worry about.
Could you go and work somewhere with excellent early years practice, so you're more inspired at the end of each day?
I've worked in good and bad teams abs it makes such a massive difference working with motivated, hard working and interested people.
