Disciplinary even though left the school?

Is this even possible? I left three months ago. So upset!

Is it the Head and SLT being unbelievably nasty, or are the circumstances something that's extremely serious and requiring further investigation?

If you're no longer employed by them I wouldn't have thought they can.

Unless it's something so serious they're thinking of getting you struck off as a teacher.....if that's even possible. I know health care professionals can have disciplinaries continue even if they've left.

Thanks, Simon, I think that is for very serious things, as far as I am aware this doesn't fall into that category as I wasn't suspended or really had anything happen other than vague talk of 'an allegation.'

No, not really.

If you are/were in a union I would contact them and see what they suggest.

Although you have moved schools (presumably) are you still employed by the LA?

No; it was an academy anyway but they still did everything through the LA, who I don't think we're the best organised.

You are registered as teachers aren't you? Might be connected to a referral to the registration body.

Did you get a letter? What does it say?

I don't think it is, Temporary.

The letter says that the investigation has been completed and that I have failed to present any supporting documentation to assist with it - which is hard to do as I wasn't told what it was - and that the findings will be presented to the HT next week.

So did the disciplinary start, then you left, and they have continued with the investigation?

Did you resign after they started a disciplinary? They can carry it on in your absence and come to a conclusion (they should invite your views/you)

Well it doesn't sound like they've followed procedure, surely if there's been an investigation they should have told you the allegation by now.

Might make a difference if you threaten them with legal action.
