Do we think Ofsted won't ring now...!?

We are waiting for the call in a 'thank goodness it's Wednesday at 1pm again, so we're safe for another week' kind of way! Do we think they won't bother coming in now before Christmas?

My sister is a teacher and her head was at a 'preparing for Ofsted' meeting last week and those in charge was saying there weren't enough Ofsted inspectors around at the moment to do all the inspections that 'need' to be done!

I hope when we do get done, it's one of these 'one day' inspections! Has anyone had one yet this academic year??

When we were inspected, they pounced on random teachers and asked them who was responsible for child protection and who they should report concerns to.

Our last Ofsted was 12th December 3 years ago so we're due any day too. It was awful - we all had to emergency plan proper lessons as it was supposed to be rehearsals and Christmas activities.

On the plus side it had to be finished by lunchtime on day 2 since we were going on a whole school visit to the pantomime. 'Twas very surreal - at 11.45 my English lesson was being observed and at 1.45 I was at the theatre!

DS's school were visited in the last week of term before Christmas a couple of years ago.

Should add, it is a primary. Christmas parties galore.

phone call on Wednesday 11.50am - in school this morning at 7am for two days.......

so yes it could still happen - at least it will be out of the way and we won't be on tenterhooks until April when they would have had to have come in by.

RI last time...... I think we're amazing though

We had inspection during the last week of Christmas term. I reckon that's the worse possible time. Hope they don't come!

I'm a childminder and I am having my inspection on 17th or 18th December. How festive! I guess as a childminder I get the advantage that Ofsted phone first to find out when I am going to be in. They don't want to be standing on my doorstep in mid December whilst the children and I are out at soft play!

My son's high school were inspected today. He was disappointed because his German teacher had said they could play traditional German games as a Xmas treat and he had to endure a "proper" lesson instead!

I just saw from my facebook memories that I had two friends (2 different schools) who had Ofsted in on this day 2 years ago Confused
