Do I need to wear a formal suit to the interview?

I got the impression that were really pushed for money, and would probably rather have lots of super TA's for no money. All of their 6 positions were nonsalaried. I did feel that maybe if they had wanted someone who worked in a school that they wouldn't have asked me to an interview, but it was a very positive experience nonetheless.
I felt that if my application wasn't strong enough for a small seaside town in Kent, it probably wouldn't past muster in a primary school in London. So I called UCAS to change one of my applications and now have two applications outstanding for a PGCE course at Goldsmiths and the IOE. I think a PGCE will be really good, I just wanted the certainty/security of a job in a school.
Oh well! Very happy for you though Yorkie [grin}

Oh that's a shame. Yes it's unfair to incite you to interview if they had no intention of taking on someone who's not had experience in school to the point that they can just take over a class. The whole point is being there to learn! Good luck on your PGCE interviews though! Smile

I got offered and accepted a PGCE place today - am absolutely thrilled!
