Yes I hate these 'Learning walks' but today the Deputy Head dropped into my year 11 lesson, thank goodness the student could say 'I am doing XY and Z because....' I might add he is not one of the most engaged students in Y11. Do you think they will start leaving my lessons alone or will I know get everyone and his dog in because year 11 dodgy student was actually performing?

And all planners on the desk because students cant learn without the planner absorbing the information.

Everytimeref And there was me thinking that the planners out was so that I could quickly read the name of the student and pretend I knew it. Your explanation makes a lot more sense.

We given a 20 minute CPD session on giving "feedback" last week, the topic of discussion, why its important to learn students names and strategies to help. WTF!! I have been teaching 12 years I think I know how to find out students names!!!
