Any teachers become TAs?

I've already handed my notice in, I know teaching isn't for me at the moment. Too much stress, workload unbearable etc. I've been teaching 12 years.

I'm thinking of applying for some TA jobs, but wonder if I would be considered. I'm secondary trained, but happy to work in primary too.

Has anyone else done this?

I did it, changing from secondary to primary to get a view on the primary curriculum. I enjoyed it but I didn't want to do it forever. I worked hard but it was not as satifying as teaching. The pay was also shite.

I am now a PPA teacher part time and earn more than I did as a TA, teach my specialist subjects and love it.

I teach PPA cover. So no class responsibility but still get paid teacher's salary.
