So how long do you think it will be until they bring back Gove?

I'm sure he's waiting in the wings to step right back into his former position.

No offence educators but dear God pleased not health. We have enough problems ??

Redlocks28 · 08/05/2015 18:51

I'm sure Gove said somewhere over Easter-might have been at the recent headteachers' conference that he was looking forward to being involved in education again soon.

I will resign if he does.

Of course he'll be back - he hasn't finished! that was always the deal.

Redlocks28 · 09/05/2015 23:06

Thank goodness-he's got Justice!

Maybe he'll start to close down all the prisons and open 'free prisons'. Anyone can open one and they won't be subject to any of the same litigation that the old ones were. They can buy their own locks cheap off Amazon and everything.

Mostlyjustaluker · 09/05/2015 23:08

It might be a new punishment option. 15 years in prison or 15 minutes with Gove.

guilianna · 09/05/2015 23:10

Phew! free prisons - now there's an idea. Debtors' prisons? Going back to basics with public executions, thumbscrews and the rack?

GraceGrape · 09/05/2015 23:15

So we are reprieved. I had always thought teaching offenders might be an interesting job but I think I'll give that a miss now.

See- when you apply his ideas to other public sectors they DO sound laughable and frankly dangerous- why, oh why was he allowed to do it to us??

MurielWoods · 10/05/2015 08:29

Kind of a shame that he is no longer Education Secretary.

I have many teacher friends and was looking forward to buying them each a pair of Gove Pants GrinGrin

There going to be more stories like the head in Doncaster who has this week been banned for amending SATS papers.
Requires improvement - improve results or we'll force you to become an academy.
Good - stop coasting, improve results or we'll replace your leadership.
Outstanding -better keep getting those results each year or Ofsted will be in.
The freeze on school budgets will mean heads will find it difficult to move teachers up the pay scale, do expect more challenging targets for performance management.
The result of this, poor kids being taught to pass tests.
I'm not worried about me (I've got my exit planned) it's my DC I feel sorry for.

I don't know one person who likes him!

I'm sure Sarah Vine (his wife) thinks he's ok. Or maybe she doesn't! Doubt she's a MNer though Wink
