my HR says it will be just a discussion and the record will be internal. I asked what if in the future they are asked for references... will this info about investigation be released to other schools? my HR said that no, it is internal informal record...it is just a chat. IS It TRUE?

Speak to your union.

It ,ay be informal, but there's nothing to stop them changing that later. Plan for the worst and it might not happen.

Good luck

I second not going to any meeting or discussing this with SLT without your union rep! ideally somebody about school rep level.

I would say there's no such thing as informal. If there's record of the meeting, its purpose and content then it, by definition, has a form, therefore it's formal.

Bollocks to them. See your union, and not at school level. Defer meeting until you can get such a person, and tell SLT why.

Do not go in a alone. Don't let them fob you off. Everything written.

In the absence of union, a friend to take notes. Repeat understanding: So am I right in saying you said this…….? Read it back to them.

Email it back to them for confirmation.

They are not entitled to see your notes.

You are entitled to see theirs.

Chat my arse. Angry

Exactly what echt said. If there's nothing to hide, they have nothing to lose by having a union rep in the meeting to advise you. Your local branch will support you.
