It's in my computer. It has my life on it. I suppose I can just about manage to get my planning done without it but it isn't going to be easy. Even worse I've got 3/4s of my maths plan on and I really can't be arsed to do it again. We have to email our planning to the head by first thing Monday otherwise I'd just leave it til then.

I've text her to see if she'll open up for me to go and get it as she lives less that 5 mins from school but heard nothing back yet.

I'm kicking myself! Confused

Probably is, but it's a very hard thing to stand up against.
Lots of common practices are against Union guidelines and advice, but if your little kingdom is run by a Sovereign and a number of Barons that want it...
Not like the union will send in a representitive to tell them off and say it mustn't happen and ensure that is the case.

noblegiraffe · 03/05/2015 18:28

That's exactly what the union should do. Has anyone asked them to?

Lots of schools around the country have taken individual strike action over this sort of bullshit.

HagOtheNorth · 03/05/2015 18:32

Don't know, I left a while back. Smile

I'm not sure if work to rule is still going on as I haven't heard anything from my union in ages. But we've always sent plans even at the hight of work to rule. I plan for me not her and I wouldn't make any changes if she wasn't taking it in. I do get the point though.

Good grief. I can't remember the last time I had to show anyone any planning. I must teach in a different world Confused

Littlefish · 03/05/2015 21:58

We are very occasionally asked for one week's planning for a specific curriculum area, connected with something on the school SDP but it's been a good 5 years since I was asked for my planning on a regular basis.

bloodyteenagers · 03/05/2015 22:04

Google drive.
We use this in school. Staff who need access have it. Plans etc are there. It's also great when cover is required, as covering teacher or hlta can have a quick browse.
also handy for collaboration..

We don't use names, it's all initials.

Usb banned again this year. We lifted it after a couple of years. Within a month we had viruses.

cece · 03/05/2015 22:06

I never show my planning to anyone. We are judged on results.

In my school we are not allowed to use USB sticks. Don't you take your laptop home with you to do your work?

WombatStewForTea · 03/05/2015 22:14

We've never had issues with usbs and viruses. We do have secure ones for any confidential info but rarely gets used. There's been talk of remote access to the system but it's never happened.
My work laptop lives at home (it's shit!) and my IWB is connected to my desk computer.

Ah the laptop we bring home is also our class computer that hooks up to the IWB
