We tend to focus on the bad things about teaching in this topic. Please share those moments which make it worth it.

Yesterday my year 12 chemistry class told me that they had a really good time in the lesson, despite having done nothing exciting. I told them this and they replied with "You are a funny and good teacher." We had done a bit of role play and I had sung a few songs (It's all about the electrons, bout the electrons...) and acted.

They do not actually like chemistry as a subject that much BUT are doing it because of me! They have fun with me as a teacher! That has not happened before; normally I have to worry too much about behaviour.

I agree. We teachers moan a lot. I'm probably the worst.

I have a student with ASD who is making such amazing progress that it warms my cold and grumpy heart every time I think about him. And his mum is gorgeous and lovely and I think she's amazing.

Deep down I know, as much as I complain like my life depended on it, I'm in the right job.

I was teaching the suffix of 'ness' last week to my Year 1 group.

Happiness
Sadness
Silliness

'Anymore you can think of?' I asked.

A gorgeous little girl, who always has her nose in a book, exclaimed, 'Loch!!!!!' SmileSmileSmile

I laughed so much!

I love art and design, and on our art days, my class are always really excited about it. They start asking me what we are doing the day before. It always cheers me up.

My knitting club: the way they take home their holey squares so proudly.
