Do you have levels like in England -well, the old system of 1c/1b/1a etc or do you use something else?

Just curious?!

And do you have to be able to speak welsh to teach in Wales?

Are things better elsewhere??!

Hmm-interesting.

So if you say that one of your children in p2 or p3 is secure in this objective -how do you show progression if the same objective is also a second level outcome and they will be working on second level outcomes until they are in p7 (or thereabouts?)

Is there talk of things becoming more like England or not?

Is your pay linked to progress?

No, no talk of following England. Pay is still linked to length of service not performance. No SATS either. No external testing until 16 years old.

Hmmm-that sounds lovely! What about book scrutinies, observations, triangulation etc

Could I teach in Scotland with a PGCE-I wouldn't need additional qualifications? Are teachers happy in general? Are there jobs?!!

It's difficult to move from England to Scotland. We do 4 year degrees then a teaching qualification or a 4 year teaching qualification. You have to satisfy the GTC and you will probably be asked to do a probationary year - at a probationer's salary!
