Performance Management aftermath

Last Oct I didn't get an increase in pay because I was in a non functioning job share with a teacher who wasn't performing last year, and the results were dire. I was asked to take over all planning and assessment for the class this Sept, and so far class is on track with great feedback from Ofsted. I am currently full time in role. Would it be reasonable to ask for an increase now instead of waiting til next cycle? or is it all stick and no carrot? am in danger of feeling resentful instead of celebratory!

No harm in asking surely?

I am going to ask! also I've been promised leadership but told they have no money, I am keen for the experience so money isn't my main motivator but they recently recruited someone they 'didn't mind paying a bit more for, we think s/he's worth it' so there obviously is a little bit available! I don't mind waiting til the budgets are better for the going rate but working with a pay cut in real terms is annoying me now

Good luck!

Go into the meeting with a clear figure in mind. If they say there's no money now, agree a date when it can be reviewed again as new budgets become available. And follow up with an email to confirm what was discussed.
