If you were working 4 days, which is the best day to have off?

My HT is totally flexible and has said it's up to me.

My first instinct was Friday but our school finishes early on Friday so I'm not sure it's the best.

It doesn't impact on me regarding Childcare.

Do the bank holidays make Mondays off a waste?

I have Fridays off which is great! My working week is finished on a Thursday night (I also have PPA on Thursday) and then l can get organised for the weekend! Would recommend!

I like a full shot at work. Not half and half. A wednesday would skew my focus. Work. Then thee day weekend. Spec for sports mums

I am considering 4 days and Friday or Monday would be my choice. Means it give flexibility for holidays etc. :)

I've tried Mon, Wed, and Fri (back full time now) and Wednesday was my favourite.

Monday = feeling as if I was starting on the back foot. I still got the Sunday dread and couldn't relax.

Friday: I felt as if I was leaving the week incomplete and didn't get the lovely surge of Friday feeling.

Wednesday was the best of both. I felt that I was 'properly' in work, but I had a midweek breather to catch up and feel prepared again for Thurs. It also had the unintended effect of everyone assuming I was full time again as I always appeared there!

Obviously it is a personal preference, but that was mine.

I work 4 days, started off with Wednesdays off, absolutely loved it. No long stretches of days at work, and only 2 days away from pre school children. Changed to Fridays due to a change in dp working pattern, but even though the long weekends are nice, I miss my Wednesdays...
