What are you (Primary teachers) using for levelling now that levels have gone?

Our school have bought in the most long-winded, user-unfriendly, time consuming system in the world, breaking down each level into 6 steps. They have their own specially not very well thought out method of allocating each step which is being interpreted differently across the year group, let along when compared with different schools.

Just wondered if there was something better out there. I absolutely hated APP but that was a walk in the park compared to this!

We sticking with the old stuff until the powers that be bring out something new.

But I am not in mainstream.

at my secondary we are using the 'old' level descriptors as no one can agree on a new system so we are sticking with what we know/have

We're sticking with levels until County bring out the new stuff at the end of the year.

We're starting to use a scheme from Symphony which has been produced by a group of teachers in Leics.

It follows year group expectations by term and has a score like the old APS so progress is measurable.
