Has anybody been working at a primary school when it went into special measures? Looks very likely this will happen to us when Ofsted come in, LEA already on the case.
Just would like to have an idea of what to expect.

Ex teacher here. Just wanted to send my support. Every now and then I think about home schooling. There's no way we can afford private but it really makes you wonder about your childrebs primary. I was secondary so don't even know on reputation.

Sorry, i clicked on this link because i was interested, i am merely a parent with 3 children (15,13,10). Could one of you please explain how academy's are so different to regular comprehensives and the like?
I may sound ignorant but my 3 children are at Catholic Comp's and i have no experience of an "academy".
Thanks very much

If you'd like a happier story, we were put into special measures last November. This September we were graded as good. We did work hard, but it wasn't too dreadful. Most of the staff stayed.

In my experience of the lead up, older, expensive teachers have been targeted rather than the teachers with just a few years experience.

Totally agree with this.
