Is there a support thread for us admin types anywhere? If not come say hello and share your new term woes (or otherwise)

I'm school sec in an inner city primary, with all that entails. We've been back week and already I'm approaching the end of my rope.

Just remembered the resulta were on NCA tools, the Ever6 data is on K2S

So, so busy...

My targets for tomorrow are to type up governors minutes, import sats results, gather Y6 files and copy cp files for new schools (this last job is horrid, fiddly and makes me stand at the copier for hours).

Yes sports day was cancelled today. Despite sending a text out at 8am this morning, I said this on repeat all day and consumed a barrel load of sugar

Ok so I've never input their actual results just the teacher assessments! Erm to start or not? I've packed all ordered uniform ready to go out tomorrow, I've worked out how to bulk up date ALL the year 6 leavers for the high school, first time everyone bar 3 going same school and I didn't fancy inputing the same name 60 times, v chuffed with myself.

Have the secondary schools never asked why the data's not there? It was easy, the same as downloading/importing a CTF. I even managed to print individual reports this year - our lovely SIMS team produce idiot guides that even I can follow Grin

summer orders nearly all on except for one ditzy woman who used the wrong catalogue even though the form tells them who to order from.

Hazel I feel your pain - ours was postponed for the 3rd time yesterday, text sent, little darlings went home with a letter, its on the front page of the website and they still come in/phone up asking when its on or better still to complain they've lost holidays - I've checked my job description and it definitely doesn't include controlling/predicting the weather Grin

I always input the teacher assessment scores skinny not the actual results from the sats.

I've namechanged - previously something edible.

How are we all bearing up? I've been in since Tuesday, children return next Monday. Of course the building work isn't finished and there are boxes everywhere, but I wouldn't love my job as much as I do without these familiar annual events.

Goodness knows which pupils are returning though. We have so many messages about people moving in and out of the area, we might have a 100% new school. The registers will be very interesting on Monday.

Our little darlings came back yesterday. I work all year so only had a few weeks off but its amazing what you can get done when there are no staff, kids or parents interrupting you every 2 minutes. I'd caught up with everything except the summer invoices, fingers crossed I can get to them tomorrow.
