Shock

I have got supply work as an HLTA doing PPA cover!!!

I am secondary QTS on time out for family reasons. I am not looking to move to primary teaching for the time being (hours worse than secondary Shock) but I want to stay in the classroom.

Any hints, tips etc. I will scour TES for some ideas even though stuff should be prepared for me.

Quite excited about Y3/4 and their total lack of hormonal snarliness Wink

If lessons are planned you should be fine, just don't get fooled into thinking that Y3/4 can't or won't be hormonalGrin . Make sure you know the schools behaviour policy inside and out, as the children will no doubt try it on even in the 'nicest' of schools, and make sure you use it as you will gain far more respect from them. Have some filler activities up your sleeves just in case what is planned isn't long enough. More importantly enjoy it (oh and most 3/4â??s are only just beginning to get a sense of humour so a lot goes over their heads in that department)Smile .
Hope that helps a bit

Hahaha at lack of snarliness!

Are you prepared for 'miss, Sarah took my pencil' 'miss, Callum's not say on his chair properly and it's annoying me' 'miss, Chloe said James is my boyfriend but he's not and she's telling everyone!'

names changed, obviously

Yr4 girls especially are an experience

I own a Y4 girl and am aware they can be, ahem, "lively and a tad disputatious"!!

I don't expect it to be a walk in the park Wink (recalls DD's classmate telling me to 'fook off' for no discernible reason Grin)

"I haven't got a pencil, I haven't got a pencil, I haven't got a pencil"
All....the......time.
Every single girl falling out with every single other girl every single day, but without the wherewithal or nouse of Year 9 girls. But with more tears and angrier mums.
Give me the hormones of Year 9 anytime, and I speak as someone who has taught both.

Oh yes. I forgot about the daily dealings with the parents because its obviously your fault that Johnny has lost his jumper/coat/spellings etc.....Still love it though (most daysGrin )
