60 Year 11 Eng Lang Mocks, which will be drudgery; drawn up a schedule of marking 2 questions across one of the two groups for each day, so I reckon a good 3 hours a day on that.

& a KS3 Scheme of Learning & resources which I'm rather looking forward to & will do in the evenings once the kids are in bed.

Determined to be organised & get the marking done each morning, leaving the afternoon to spend with dc.

I never know whether to do it all in one big block and then take a proper break or just do the work in bits and pieces through the week. Looking forward to not having to get up early tomorrow morning!

I know petalpower - ideally, I'm all for getting stuck in, doing full days & then putting my feet up by about Thursday.

Dh away this half term so I'm going to have to spread it over the week & both weekends so that dc can occasionally check in with the mothership. Thank chuff for Minecraft...

I need to go into school at some point too to get a few jobs done in my classroom but I think I'll wait until the end of the week for that.

I've had a student in so going in tomorrow for a good tidy up and to mark a set of books. UGH. Then just a bit of planning, so maybe a day's work, which isn't too bad..

I'm a Headteacher and I will be doing NOTHING.... except checking my emails about 3 times a day & responding when necessary

Updating my maths and science assessments, marking 60 pieces of independent writing and updating APP accordingly, planning for next half term's topic sessions and starting MT plans for new curriculum ready for September, update my IEPs and provision maps, analyse whole school assessment data and progress towards summer targets, spend/order subject resources from my budget, put three new displays up in my classroom and corridor, writing LT plans for my subjects across the school, writing a new subject policy, undertake self-evaluation for my subjects and planning and prep for first week back. So several full days.
AND SLEEP!

TheGruff...that would take me a term! I have some whole school data to analyse and a SOW for a Y10 group. I set up the spare room as an office and slog through it in one session but it's not unenjoyable. I won't look at emails if I can avoid it. A whole week off...love it.

SOW/planning for a revised curriculum area, re-jigging my general planning format, med. term plans for the coming term, guiding my new PGCE student to plan their work. Updating the children's records, analysing the data, setting targets.
It's basically all the stuff I get really frustrated at not having chunks of time to do during term time - I'm really happy to have a week to get it all done and out of the way.

Are you starting now, HalfSpam? This is normal get-up time! At least have a lie-in and watch some Winter Olympics.

48 pieces of controlled assessment; 60 pieces of year 8 homework; generate data, data, data. Oh and keep two dc entertained/ bribed with tv and video games. This is why I tell DH that I'm not off work but just working from home. Plus an MA module - but that's my choice! Will I be done by Thursday?

I started work at 6am yesterday as well HalfSpam. All my assessment data is stored on the school cloud so I needed uninterrupted time when the internet wasn't going to go down. Only way to ensure that is to work really early before any other family computers are switched on. I managed to get most of it done by 9am. Just the rest of my work to do now. I agree that it's the sort of jobs that you don't have time to do during term time.

Coursework marking (50 students), but their work is all online so it's not bad to do.

11 mock exams.

Planning for first week back (actually only 4 lessons as done the rest last week).

Maybe writing sow if I can be bothered, otherwise I will do it in gained time later on.

Not too bad really.

30 homework projects to mark, all planning for next week, update my section of VLE plus a few tidying up bits. Have made a start - sharpened all the pencils from my classroom :)

30 pieces of writing to mark and assess for new half term targets.

Planning for next half term to be submitted by the weekend.

A day in school taking down displays and backing boards for new topic.

Marking end of half term maths tests.

I went in yesterday for 5 hours to put up 2 wall displays and do a bit of a sort out.

Fill in assessment sheets for 60 children
Next half term's planning
First week back planning
Staffing rotas for summer term
Induction packs for new children starting after Easter

Not quite sure yet how I'm going to get it all done....

43 controlled assessments, writing a NEW controlled assessment (thanks gove) planning a new y8 sow, marking three sets of books, planning around 16 GCSE lessons....

I already know I won't get it all done :D

Annoyingly DD is unwell so I can't put her in nursery as I had hoped. Hopefully she'll be better and able to go tomorrow or Wednesday.

I have indeed been working since 6am; but I must admit it has been liberally peppered with searching for hotels and doings some tidying.

I'm sure some would say 'why can't you be more efficient and get it done in term time/PPA' but I find that there is always more urgent stuff or firefighting to be done. To really think about making changes (I am thinking of trialling objective-led planning) I need a chunk uninterrupted time to digest and cogitate. So I'm perversely quite happy to be doing this - it means I can cross out a lot of things on the "I know I should be doing this but it keeps getting put off" list.

and everyone - think we will need the energy to get this all done.
