.. but I don't, help!

Returning to supply teaching after an almost three year gap (very extended maternity leave).

Union membership in place.

Have just realised that the GTC is long gone, and anyway prior to that, I was a member of the IfL (was in sixth form, not secondary).

My question is, what do I need to be a member of?

Nothing!

Thank you - that was what I thought, couldn't believe it was that easy Grin

Good luck with the supply. I found it hard at first but then I loved it. The flexibility and work/life balance was great and I met so many new people.

Thanks :) Am returning to it after an extended "mat leave" and yes, the flexibility is its best feature. I was doing sixth form supply, has been a good few years since I did general secondary supply, but I need the money and I have to go with what's available ... am hoping I'll get something more suited to me, but am mentally preparing for the worst!

Good luck. There is virtually no secondary supply around here apart from maternity covers and the occasional long term sick.

I know. have already been asked if I'd be willing to do cover supervisor role. At cover supervisor rates of pay.

That is really all there is where I am ... :(
I was fortunate to get some long term stuff and then a maternity leave that turned into a permanent post.
